There is a line Shirleen once said that always stays with me. “We can work hard and we can do it while looking good.” That line makes me laugh because it is completely spot on. It is also exactly what makes Shirleen stand out. I was lucky to be able to work with Shirleen for a short time and let me tell you, I was impressed with her from day one. I’ve been working in hospitality for over a decade and it’s not very often you come across an individual with such focus and attention to detail, who also manages to look put together 24/7. Seriously, I have seen her work a room after a long day and I do not know where this boundless energy comes from. Shirleen coordinated my wedding when she worked at the Pasadena Convention Center and my husband and I could not have asked for a more professional, kind, on-top-of-her-stuff person. We clicked with her right away and she listened to all of our concerns and made everything work! On top of that, she knows how crazy expensive the wedding industry can get and came up with beautiful ideas without breaking the bank. I actually remarked that we should just hire her as our wedding coordinator. On the day of the wedding, everything ran beautifully and there was no stress whatsoever. Wedding planning can be very stressful but Shirleen pulls everything together and allows you to enjoy your big day.

Shirleen planned my going away party and it was awesome. She asked my preference in food and even made sure she included my favorite dessert – apple pie! The presentation was wonderful from the beautiful china to the flowers and table decorations. I know that she chose the flowers herself. That’s how committed she is to client satisfaction. Everything was color coordinated and very classy. I could tell that she had taken a sincere interest in planning the event. I don’t think she missed any details.
The party was a hit with all of my guests. Everyone enjoyed a warm comfortable atmosphere for socializing and tasted a variety of delicious food. She had listened to my preferences and carried out my wishes. Shirleen made it work. My party was a great success. What a fitting finale as I said “good-by” to my company and co-workers.
